D. Sit down and crunch.

Gardening. You are outdoors, bent, kneeling, stretching, and using more muscle groups than any other exercise.

Also, if it is a garden, you benefit from eating what you plant.

Crunch and sit-in. Not only does it increase your heart rate but it also tightens your muscles and increases your strength. Going upstairs will be more rewarding. Do more aerobic exercise than going out. But you said you wouldn't increase your heart rate. Taking out the trash is not an exercise unless the trash weighs 22 pounds. And gardening ... it's not really an exercise unless you do great gardening, hahaha in fact, it all depends on how you do everything and how much resistance there is.

Get rid of the trash ... get rid of all these bacteria ... I mean gardening ...
