Second Screen
Second screen is the idea that those who use one screen (e.g. watch TV shows) often use the other at the same time (e.g. by posting to Facebook via smartphone). The goal is to make television viewing interactive for the viewer, increase brand, product or service recognition and ultimately offer the viewer more advertising.
How often do you watch TV or your phone at the same time? If you are like most people, probably very often. In fact, according to Nielsen, 88% of Americans use a second device while watching TV. That's almost all!
