Ego-bait
Using an external link on a website to an external resource. Be it a person or a company hoping you will like it and give a backlink.
A link building technique used by SEOs to generate backlinks. An ego bait is essentially a means of building links on top of the target link's ego to increase visibility among influencers and hopefully generate backlinks in the process.
